Trial Flights
The best way to experience the unique feeling of flying a gyrocopter first hand is to book a trial flight.
We offer a 10min Buzz flight or full Hands on Training flights of 30 or 60 minutes in enclosed cockpit Cavalon gyrocopters with prices starting from as low as £59.
Trial flights can be purchased as a gift for a unique and exhilarating present or as a taster to see if you'd like to learn to fly a gyrocopter.
We currently offer trial flights around the York, Wetherby, Scarborough and surrounding areas.
All trial flights include an introductory briefing that is in addition to the time spent airborne. Both 60 & 90 minute trial flights include an extended briefing.
There's no better way to see the local countryside whilst also getting a taste of the excitement modern aviation offers.
Learn to Fly a Gyrocopter
All our training is done in factory built, 2 seater, dual control gyrocopters. It's similar to the way you'd learn to drive a car with the instructor gradually allowing the student more freedom as their skills improve.
We teach a classroom based "Ground School" which covers all aspects of aviation theory, practice and law. In addition we focus on the unique flight characteristics that gyrocopters offer and use video footage to demonstrate key learning points.
The teaching syllabus is approved by the UK's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and ensures that all students master the essential framework needed to become competent pilots.

Our Chief Flying Instructor
Jim Hughes is the School CFI, or Chief Flying Instructor. Jim has been training gyrocopter pilots since 2014.
Over the course of his career, Jim has taught dozens of people, from the most inexperienced to Airline Pilots, to master the art of gyrocopter flying.
He’s an exceptionally patient and skilled teacher who has won the praise and admiration of his peers in the world of gyrocopters.
